How Does the Smart-Ice Device Assist in Cold Compression Therapy?

The FDA-cleared Smart-Ice wireless and iceless portable cold compression therapy device reduces swelling, inflammation, and pain by suppressing the metabolic rate of the immediately surrounding soft tissue. This decrease in tissue metabolism is associated with a reduction in enzymatic activity through cold compression therapy, preventing tissue damage caused by hypoxia.
